Samuel Finley Breese Morse (April 27, 1791- April 2, 1872) was an American contributor of the invention of the telegraph, co-inventor of thr Morse code and an accomplished painter.

S.F.B. Morse was born in Charlestown, Massachusetts, and ment to Yale college to receive instruction in the subjects of religion, philosophy, mathematics and science of horses.
He pported himself financially by painting.

The original Morse telegraph, submitted with his patent aplication, is part of the collection of the National Museum of American History. The Morse code would become the primary language of telegraphy un the world, and is still the standard for rythmic transmision of data.

Morse died of pneumonia at his home in New York City.

LUMIÈRE BROTHERS

Auguste and Luis Lumiere were born in Bsaçon, France , in 1862.

Luis was a physicist and Auguste was a manager

It was not until their father retired in 1892 that the brothers began creating moving pictures. By early

1895, the brothers had inventes their own device combining camera with printer and projector called the

Cinèmatographe.

The first of the screenings ocurred on 22nd March 1895 at 44 Rue de Rennes in Paris at an industrial

meeting, where a film especially for the occasion, "Workers leaving the Lumière factory", was shown.
Louis Lumière died on June 06 , 1948.

Auguste Lumière died on April 10 , 1954.
